It Gets Better! Another Great Review and Another Great Giveaway!

Lilith at Crunchy Green Mom is one of the nicest bloggers, and so very appreciative. When she asked to review my products, I wanted to create something for her two little girls (She has 6 children, btw) who had themed rooms. I had so much fun creating wall art for them, and I was able to convert them into cute clippie holders too! What fun! She loved them and in turn wrote her awesome review! It's with great pleasure that we offer a great set of our clippies as a giveaway during her birthday bash! Happy Birthday, Lily!

Another plug...

One of my dearest friends who I've known since grade school has started her own blog showcasing her artistic talents, ideas, inspiration, and randomness. She's a wonderfully gifted artist, creating whimsical pieces with childlike innocence that makes each piece universal for adults and children. Read her bio on her website. She recently listed a few of her pieces on etsy. Here's one of my favorites:

"Red Headed Mermaid" (11"x14" acrylic and sharpie on canvas)

Two Custom Orders!

As we prepare to release our summer items later this month, I had a chance to create this beautifully simple photo frame for someone who wanted to give a photo of her parents with their long-time friend as a gift. She basically gave me free reign to design something appropriate. I wanted to capture a little of the dominant colors, and keep the frame free of design clutter. This is the final result:
This is a 2" beveled wood frame with a 5x7" opening, ready for hanging.

I also designed a one-of-a-kind wall art piece for a personal friend. She wanted to give her mother a nice plaque with her daughter's hand print for Mother's Day. Although little Chloe was a little fidgety, the end result was as cute as can be, imperfections and all!
This is a 7"x7" beveled wood plaque, hand painted and custom designed, ready for hanging with your choice of ribbon. (Excuse the photo quality. Digital camera was on the fritz so we took the pics using our Google Phone).
We are open to all kinds of custom orders, so visit our shop and contact us!

A little Airplane for Aiden...

One of my co-workers is eagerly awaiting the birth of her and her husband's first child, Aiden. I jumped at the opportunity to give her something as a gift that she could truly appreciate. I was inspired the theme/decor she chose from Babies R Us called "Proflyer" The canvas board is 8"x8" and is available for your personalization in my shop!

A Few Custom Orders in the Mix...

We've been pretty busy lately trying to fulfill custom orders, and feel we're pretty much caught up. I've been working with my client, Georgiana, for a couple of months on the perfect gift for her soon-to-be niece. She wanted something that would really bring her room's decor together. With lots of pinks, red, and even greens, we were able to come to a very successful product.

The central piece in this "triptych" is a 12"x16" personalized canvas painting, matching the bedding selected by the parents:
(bedding from target)

The two side pieces are 8"x8" canvas paintings based on the wallpaper border selected for Megan's room:

(You can find this design at Wallpaper-Inc.)

I also finished a custom order for my client, Jenny, who wanted something for her two tweeny- nieces. They thought pink was too girly and babyish for them, so we went with simple, identical , 9"x12" checker-border design with 3D wooden heart embellishments and rhinestones. Here's one of them:
